I earned a B.S in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in English from Pennsylvania State University. Following graduation, I began a Master's program in Speech Pathology at Marywood University in Scranton, PA. After a semester, I realized that the field of Speech Pathology was not the right fit for me. I decided to transfer to East Stroudsburg University to earn my teaching certification in English and a Master's degree in education. I couldn't be more delighted with my decision. I have found my studies at ESU both intellectually challenging and personally fulfilling. I am excited about pursuing English and helping others become passionate about reading and writing.

My background in communication development, disorders, and therapy techniques prepares me for working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities. Communication, including both receptive and expressive skills, is essential to student learning and development.
